How do I open an account on desktop?

To create an account on desktop:

1. Open the PokerStars website
2. Select ‘Download PokerStars’
3. Save and run the installation file
4. Open the PokerStars software
5. Select ‘Join Now’

Then enter your details:

• Username
• Password
• Email address
• Country of residence
• Source of reference
• Confirm you meet the minimum age requirement

Your username identifies you at the tables and cannot be changed once confirmed.

After creating your account, you will receive 35,000 Play Money chips (no real money value).

How do I create an account using the app?

1. Open the PokerStars app
2. On the login screen, select ‘New to PokerStars? Join Now’
3. Enter your details:
• Country of residence
• Email address
• Username
• Password

Your username:

• Must be at least 4 characters
• Cannot be changed once confirmed
• Is visible to other players

If you already have an account:

• Log in using your existing credentials
• Or select ‘Forgot password?’ if needed

 

Account validation

How do I validate my account?

To make real money transactions, you must validate your account and verify your identity.

To start:

• Open ‘Cashier’ → ‘Deposit’
• Enter your personal details in the Real Money form

If you are using the website, use the ‘Web Cashier’.

 

Account rules

Can I open more than one account?

No. Duplicate accounts are not allowed.

Each player may have only one account to help ensure a fair playing environment.

Can my family or friends create an account?

Yes. Each person can create their own account using:

• Their real name
• Their own email address
