  • Must not already be in use
  • Must not include your surname or personal details
  • Can contain up to 15 characters (letters, numbers, spaces, and hyphens)
  • Must use standard Latin characters (A–Z)
  • Avoid letters with accents

How do I recover a forgotten username?

You can recover a forgotten username using your registered email address:

  1. Select 'Log in' in the software or on the website.
  2. Select 'Forgot password?'.
  3. Enter the registered email address.
  4. Select 'Send'.

If the email address is valid, you will receive a message with your username.

Do not create a new account if you have forgotten your username.

Can I change my PokerStars username?

No. Username changes are not allowed.

Usernames identify players at the tables. Allowing changes would let players hide behind a new identity, which is not permitted.

What is the difference between an account and a username?

Each player has one PokerStars account with one username.

Your account includes:

  • One username and password for all PokerStars brands in your region
  • One wallet and account balance
  • One set of account details and settings (for example, address changes, PINs, and security tools)
